2012 Medical Qigong Certification Course Information & Registration Form
Welcome. This is the web
site for Bethesda Acupuncture. Here you will find information about
the ancient traditional Oriental system of healing called acupuncture,
which originated in China over 3,500 years ago. Acupuncture is used
to balance the body's energy, known as qi, pronounced chi, through
selectively placing pressure on some of the body's 2,000 acupuncture
points. More details are available on the
Acupuncture Page.
The list of conditions successfully treated with acupuncture includes
neck, cervical, lower back and hip pain, sciatica, anxiety, depression,
insomnia, headaches and migraines, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, sinus problems,
arthritis, and more. On the Treatment Page
you will find a more detailed list.
I also offer Medical Qigong treatments and instruction. The word "Qi Gong", literally translated from Chinese, means "Energy Work". It is a highly refined system of exercises and meditations that develop our ability to acquire, store, circulate, and purify our Qi (Vital Energy). Through diligent practice of Qi Gong, we learn how to use our mind as a tool to direct the flow of electrical signals and energetic currents that comprise the integrated matrix of our body, mind, and emotions. This can lead to a greater sense of mastery over our mental, physical, and emotional health, as well as greater resistance to everyday stresses and disease.
Both of these venerable disciplines are powerful forms of alternative
medicine. Both have long been employed to promote spiritual, emotional
and physical health. Every aspect of the human mind, spirit, and body
is positively affected by proper applications of acupuncture and Qigong.
I am formally trained, certified, licensed, and experienced in my chosen
fields of Oriental medicine. On my Biography Page
you will find my credentials and information on my educational background
and my present practice.
I welcome your inquiries and look
forward to introducing you to acupuncture and Qigong. If you are already
a beneficiary of these gifts, I will be pleased to continue with you
on your journey of greater serenity, balance, and health.
